Thought I'd share some interesting correspondence...
-----------Jeffy's Original Drivel---------------
Man, you are a fu#$%ng idiot!!!  I can't believe you are stupid enough to
put something like that trash on a website.  No wonder you got what you
probably deserved if you come back with responses like this page instead of
just doing your job.

I think you were a recruiter around Minnesota, right?  If I am wrong, I
apologize, but you really need to take this crap off the internet.  Why
don't you send me an e-mail and try to explain what really happened instead
of putting blame on your chain of command.  What did you actually do or not
do?

By the way, I have been in recruiting for over 9 years and I have 5 silver
badges and have won Blue Suit, so I think I know a little about recruiting.
I just came from being a trainer in Detroit and I'm now a flight chief, so
don't give me a bunch of crutches and whining, OK?

Unhappy about your site,

Jeff S*******, MSgt, USAF
G-Flight Chief
*******, VA

Hey,

I am still waiting on a reply to my first message.  I guess you really don't
have a whole lot to say about it, huh?

MSgt Jeff S*******
-----------------End of Jeffy drivel...Does it end??-----------------

Dear Jeff,
LOL!!!  What a lame-assed loser!  Your message doesn't even justify a
response, but to appease your simple mind, I will entertain your request...
Instead of perhaps entertaining myself at your expense...hmmm  ;)
First of all, it's funny how you seem to be so interested in my case, but
yet make judgements without facts...I suppose that's why you fit right into
recruiting so well, eh?  Let's see...You must think that you just recited a
bunch of words when you took the oath of enlistment, right?  Well, one of
those phrases you said was to "...defend the Constitution against all
enemies, foreign and domestic..." -- I'm here to tell you that the Constitution
does NOT allow superiors to "make things happen, no matter what", especially
when it violates people's Constitutional rights.  For instance...My chain of
command changed my Article 15 to an LOR because there was no basis in
fact to their allegations.  From the 100's of emails I've received, I find it
amusing that yours was the only one so...ummm...enlightening...LOL!!!!
What I have found to be true is that this sort of thing happens to many people...
Soon you'll see more about others' cases on my site.  Sorry if this makes you
"Unhappy about your site", but open your eyes and smell the coffee,
Jeffy!...hehheh

-----drivel quote - OFF---------

Welll...Ya did read the letter headers!...I'm impressed ya got that far!
Yes, I recruited near Minneapolis, as ya could read by the headers and
zip code.  You are wrong and should apologize, but not for the location...
You should apologize for your ignorance!  What really happened...That's easy!
I was railroaded like a sheep to the slaughter (excuse the pun).  I not only did
my job, but did it extremely well!  I was the #1 squadron recruiter AND the #1
squadron Flight Supervisor during this EPR reporting period, but received a
non-referral "2" EPR.  Not even a goal break was given to do both jobs.
I applied for (and found out after this fiasco that I was selected for) nurse
recruiting...But ya know how that goes...Assignment RNLT dates are rarely
given more than 30 days in advance while you're in AFRS.  I got a production
eval for missing 2 consecutive quarters (the people were there and on the
"Q&W", but I'm sure you know, those folks "don't count").  Sorry to disappoint
you, but it IS my chain of command's fault...It's not an "...instead of...".
I actually did my job (and the flight supervisor's job)...I did not "breach integrity
by falsifying official documentation" nor "fail to follow orders" as my chain of
command accused.
My chain of command knew it and so do I.  That's the bottom line.  When they
realized their errors, it was too late for them to back out.  I don't intend to
"roll over" for them...They weren't men enough to admit their mistakes.
I think we may agree on something...That the postings on my website, originating
from my chain of command are indeed "crap"!  It's too bad they did the things
they did, then I wouldn't have to post this "crap".

9 years and 5 silver badges and a blue suit to top it off...WOW!...
Why not 9 silver badges, hero??  See, I did learn something from
my recruiting experience...
Recruiting Rule #1:  "Always press them for more than they can or are willing to give"
Sounds like you may not know  "All About Air Force Recruiting"...That's why that's my
web site's title.  ;)  Ya really should read it sometime!
Crutches and whining?  Nope...Don't need to...All the facts are on the table.
The truth is right in front of yer nose if'n ya care to wipe away yer snot and look.
Thanks fer helpin' me stay "enthusiastic"!  Have a great Air Force day, and it is
the 19th...Where are those people ya promised to have to MEPS!?!!...hehheh...
Better get on the stick, Jeffy!  :)  BOY-AM I ENTHUSIASTIC!
I don't normally use my rank in personal matters, but in this case,
I reckon it'd be ok...

PS - hmmm...I'm thinkin' this email will fit right into
"All About Air Force Recruiting"  :)))

----- More from Jeff, but a bit more cordial -- I reckon I oughta refer to 'im as "Jeff" -----
Oh please post this e-mail to your website!  I do want to congratulate you
for having a pretty decent site overall, but like I said before, the part
about recruiting is total crap!

You sound like you have a monster-size chip on your shoulder..how long did
it take you to make MSgt?  I haven't even been in the AF 14 years yet, and I
think I read you were in about 18 or so years.

You cannot seem to talk to anyone without trying to demonstrate how much
better you are than them.  With that attitude I can see why you got slammed
so hard.  I have seen it before in recruiting.  The number one guy thinks he
is so damned invinsible he thinks he can get away with anything!  I am glad
they finally caught whatever you did wrong and got you out of our career
field before you could really step on it.

I really have an open mind, but when you throw in all of your sarcasm and
bull%$^#, it loses all credibility.  I sure hope you lose the "I'm above
everyone else" attitude at your current job.  At least with you out of
recruiting, you have plenty of extra free time to update your web site.  I
have a couple of stories for your web site if you would like to add more
stories about people who have been screwed over by Recruiting Service.  But,
I only want to give you information if you lose the attitude and want to
talk man to man.

I can peek through all of the smoke you throw and see some intelligence, but
you make it hard to recognize it.  If you only want to reply and try to show
how much smarter you are than me, well just hit delete now.

MSgt Jeff S*******
----- End of quote -----

Jeff,
I don't think I have a chip on my shoulder...
I'm just an ordinary man tryin' to stand up for his rights.
When the first part I read in yer first email started...
"Man, you are a fu#$%ng idiot!!!  I can't believe you are stupid enough to
put something like that trash on a website...."
I figgered I'd be wastin' my time with a response.
Thanks for the kind words about the rest of my site...
I'll hafta agree to disagree with ya about the recruiting part...
The world and especially potential recruiters need to know that this stuff
happens...for real!
I made MSgt the first time in 1995 (16 years TAFMSD), but didn't sew it on
because of this fiasco.  I still have a civilian attorney workin' to reinstate my
original promotion date of 1 Aug 95.  Then of course, because of the control
roster and UIF my chain of command gave me, I couldn't test for the next
cycle either.  Made it last year again tho, first time back outta the 'chute.
How do ya figger I think I'm better than anyone else?  I have always tried to
"walk a mile in another's shoes".  In my current job, and in my entire AF
career, I've never felt that I was better than anyone else.  I even tried to give
my chain of command an "out"...Their response was attempting to
discharge me.  That's when I reported the alcohol in the fridge at the federal
office building thing.  I'm not a prude, but I'd taken all I was gonna put up with.
As ya can see by my stats in my LOR rebuttal, I wasn't always the #1
dude...I never got away with anything.  I didn't do anything to get into trouble...
Always stayed away from those "gray areas", ya know.  I take some offense
when ya keep sayin' stuff like this..."...I am glad they finally caught whatever
you did wrong..."...I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!  That's the whole point
and my reason for establishing this web site!  If tomorrow AFRS reinstated my
original promotion, I'd consider takin' the recruitin' part of my site down!
Man-to-man and toe-to-toe, I'm doin' what I would expect my sons to do if
"the establishment" wanted to hose 'em over.  If you have recruiting stories
ya'd like me to post, I'd be glad to do it.  Jeff, I don't think I'm better than you
or anyone else, but ya hafta admit, ya came on purdy strong in yer first email.
There is no smoke...I am a straight-forward kinda guy...Some folks say I'm
"ballsy", but I'd rather have a pair at risk than follow the crowd for convenience.
OK...I'll admit I have a 152 IQ and 99QT...I'd like to think I have some good ol'
common "horse sense" too.  I only mention this cause I didn't make MSgt in
under 14 years...hehheh.  ;))
